We're looking for a few good skiers or snowboarders who care about people

The Summit Central Ski Patrol is looking for good snow riders (skiers or snowboarders) who:
  • Can demonstrate proper ride technique on all types of terrain, from groomed slopes, to moguls, to unpacked slopes.
  • Sincerely care about people and have a desire to help.

Something for the whole family

The Summit Central Ski Patrol consists of about 80 active members.  Our patrollers come from all walks of life and are brought together by a love of skiing/riding and a dedication to helping others.  We are a family oriented patrol.  Quite a few of our current patrollers are sons/daughters or even grandchildren of patrollers that have grown up on the patrol.

We're more than just skiers and snowboarders

While skiing/riding and the desire to help others has brought our patrol members together, the friendship and camaraderie helps keep us together all year round.  The Summit Central Ski Patrol plays as hard as it works.  Every year our members take "Fun Breaks" and travel to other ski resorts for ski relaxation.  Gourmet cooks flourish among us and our patrol enjoys many potlucks throughout the year.  When the ski season ends, our patrol members get together for bicycling, climbing, golfing, camping, rafting, fishing, boating, and our annual summer picnic.

The Summit Central Ski Patrol offers a wide variety of patrolling possibilities

Summit Central offers beginner through expert downhill ski runs, an extensive nordic area, snowshoeing and innertubing areas.  Because of this we have both Alpine (downhill) and Nordic (cross-country) patrol responsibilities.  Our members can be Alpine (Ski or Snowboard), Auxiliary (non-toboggan handling), Nordic, or Dual (Alpine/Nordic) registered.  Alpine, Nordic and Dual classifications require proficiency in skiing/riding and toboggan handling.

Benefits

  • Discounted Summit at Snoqualmie Season Passes are available for patrollers and their dependent family members.
  • Overnight accommodations for patrollers and their families (the patrol building at Summit Central is one of the nices patrol "bunkhouses" out there).
  • Access to discounts on industry gear (after one year with patrol).
  • Life long friendships and camaraderie.

Come visit us

We understand that the decision to become a Ski Patroller represents a major commitment of time, finances and energy.  So that you can get to know us better, we would like to extend an invitation for you and your family to come visit our patrol and get acquainted.

Once a year, we hold an informational day for applicants which includes an opportunity for the applicants to ski a few runs with patrollers and demonstrate their skiing/riding abilities.  This is generally held in mid March.
